Main Gear Types

PowerPlaza contains gear types from the standard product catalogue of Kumera Drives. Gear unit types can be selected simply by clicking on the image of the unit. 

Mounting Arrangement

The mounting arrangement of each gear unit is made by clicking on the drawing that best defines customer requirements. 

Gear Unit Input/Output Data

Gear unit range and gear unit size definition is made according to the input/output speed of gear shafts and according to input power.

There are default values for speed and power. By changing these values the customer can see the effect on ratio and torque and also on the gear unit range and type. Some gear type values shown below are default values and can be changed later.

Driving Machine Data

By using radio buttons for choices, you can define the driving machine of the gear unit. It is also possible to give application factors manually if the customer has greater demands for application factors (=service factors) than the calculated values.

Gear Unit Structure

Choices for gear unit structures are supported with drawings. Selections are pre-set. By using radio buttons you can modify default structures and provided alternatives. 

Gear unit structure choices consist of

• Foot
• Foot location
• Shaft arrangement
• Output shaft (shaft-mounted gear units)

Additional Equipment

Provision is made for the selection of additional devices such as cooling units. A pressure lubrication unit is automatically selected if required.

Selection Finished

After the selection process is complete, the selected gear unit data is shown to the customer for the following actions:

• An invitation for quotation is requested
• A CAD drawing of the selected gear unit is desired
• A request to view assembly and operating manuals
• Return to the program to change gear selection data

CAD Drawings Generation

Kumera PowerPlaza provides dimensional CAD drawings for gear units in Kumera Drives standard product catalogue. 

CAD drawings can be generated from the gear selection section or the customer can use the CAD drawing generation section, enabling the customer to modify the gear unit construction in terms of size, ratio, mounting and shaft arrangement, motor power and additional equipment.

Generated 2d drawings will be provided customer bys e-mail. All 3D models are available for download.
